League City, TX · Live honey bee removal

Bee Removal in League City, TX

League City is home base — the primary response area. If bees are in a soffit, chimney, or wall here, the job is the colony and every sheet of comb. We work this coastal side of Greater Houston on purpose. We also do live bee removal in Houston. Call 24 hours a day.

League City is brick, stucco, and lots of roof line — soffits, chimneys, and the gap where materials change. That’s where honey bees actually nest here, not in a hanging ball forever. We cover homes in and around South Shore Harbour, Victory Lakes, Tuscan Lakes, and Magnolia Creek as part of the same League City run. We do not claim a shop on every street; we claim we will tell you on the first call whether we can get to your address.

A League City job: a hive inside the wall and attic, entering by the roofline. We relocated the bees live, cut out the comb, and screened and sealed the entry. See the League City attic wall cutout.

Coastal humidity and summer heat make an ignored wall hive worse, not better. Honey left in a cavity ferments. The next swarm follows the smell. If you’ve had a pest route fog a hole already, say so on the form — the comb is still in there.

A swarm on a branch is not a hive in the wall

A cluster that arrived today on a fence, playset, or live oak is often a swarm: the queen and her workers looking for a cavity. That’s the short job — box them live and move them. Wait until evening and they may be gone, or they may have walked into the soffit you were hoping they’d skip.

Steady traffic in and out of one hole for a week or more, buzzing in a ceiling, or bees in a living room means comb is already built. That’s a cutout: thermal locate, open only what we need, lift the colony, pull the comb, close the cavity. Same bees. Completely different work.

Why we won’t spray a League City hive and leave

Spray kills the insects you can see. It does not remove pounds of wax and honey in the wall. In this climate that mess stains, smells, and draws ants, roaches, and another swarm to the same scent. If a company cannot explain how they will get the comb out and close the hole, they are not doing this job.

We relocate live bees when the colony can be moved safely. We do not promise every cutout is a gentle rescue, and we do not sell a lifetime warranty against the next swarm that finds a different gap next year.

Old downtown, Clear Creek, and the newer subdivisions

If bees are going in and out of one spot on your League City house for more than a day, a colony is building comb inside. Don't spray it and don't plug the hole. League City is our home base, so call 281-910-5864 or send photos through the quote form, and we'll tell you on the first call whether it's a swarm or a cutout.

League City runs from Clear Creek on the north side down to the FM 646 area on the south, with I-45 through the middle and Clear Lake and the bay to the east. The oldest homes are near downtown along Main Street (FM 518) and Highway 3, many of them wood-frame houses under big live oaks. Out from there are the subdivisions built along FM 518 and FM 270, and west of I-45 the newer master-planned neighborhoods like Westover Park, Mar Bella, and Bay Colony.

Why bees nest in these houses: older wood-frame homes have siding and trim that shrink and split over time, and some sit on pier-and-beam with open crawl spaces. Newer brick homes have weep holes, attic gable vents, and the gap where brick meets the soffit. Two-story homes add high soffits and roof lines where one material meets another. Near Clear Creek and the bay the air stays damp, so comb left in a wall softens and leaks honey. That's why the comb comes out with the bees. See Bees in your wall, soffit, or attic, How it works, and the League City attic-wall cutout. A recent bay-side job is the historic Seabrook wall-hive removal.

Swarms: spring is the busiest time for swarms in League City, and they can still show up on warm days later in the year. Live oaks, fence lines, and playsets give a swarm a place to rest while scout bees look for a cavity. Leave it alone and keep kids and pets back. If it's still there the next morning, or bees start going into an eave or chimney, call before they build comb.

Before you call: note which side of the house the bees use and how high the entrance is, and put any gate code or HOA contact on the form. Call 281-910-5864 or use the quote form. Where bees settle in League City homes

League City's historic district runs along East Main Street and around Kansas Avenue and Wilkins Street. It has Queen Anne and Folk Victorian houses with wood siding, and Craftsman bungalows with wide eaves. The Butler Oaks, live oaks planted in 1907, still line Main Street. Bees use wall voids behind the siding, porch ceilings, attic eaves, and chimney chases.

Just outside the old town, the Marshall Addition and Bayou Brae were built in the 1950s with one-story ranch homes and attached garages. There, check soffits, attic eaves, and wall voids around the garage. In the yard, check water meter boxes, irrigation valve boxes, sheds, and fence lines.

We remove the colony live: find the cavity, open only what the comb needs, take the bees and comb, and close the opening. Honeybee Removal is based in League City. If your house is in the historic district, say so on the call. Call Honeybee Removal at 281-910-5864.

Bees at HOA Common Areas and Businesses in League City

Bees don't only move into houses. In master-planned neighborhoods like South Shore Harbour, Victory Lakes, and Tuscan Lakes, check pool houses, clubhouse eaves, entry monuments, and irrigation boxes in the common areas. Along League City Parkway, FM 518, and I-45, check strip-center soffits, sign cabinets, and dumpster enclosures.

Put the person who approves work on the property on the form: the HOA manager, property manager, or business owner. Mark Business / commercial and send photos of the entry. We take the bees and the comb out live and close what we opened.

League City questions

Do you actually work League City, or only inside the Loop?
League City is the coastal side we run on purpose — not a leftover on a Houston list. If you’re between FM 518, I-45, and the bay, fill the form. We’ll tell you on the call if we can make it the same day.
We live in an HOA. Will you leave a hole in the brick?
A cutout that leaves a hole is unfinished. We close what we open and screen the original entry. Matching a specific brick blend or stucco texture can take a follow-up pass; we’ll say that before we start instead of promising a factory-perfect patch on the first visit.
The bees showed up on a live oak this morning. Is that a hive in the house?
Usually not. A hanging cluster that arrived today is a swarm looking for a cavity. That’s a catch-and-relocate if we get there before they move. If they’ve been using one hole in a soffit or chimney for a week, that’s an established hive with comb — a cutout.
Can I spray them myself until you get here?
Don’t. Dead bees leave the honey. In League City heat that comb melts into insulation and sheetrock. Leave the entrance open, keep kids and pets inside, and call. If anyone is having trouble breathing after a sting, that’s 911 — not a bee job.
Where should I meet you at a South Shore Harbour or Victory Lakes house?
Leave the driveway clear and put the gate code on the form. Same if you’re in Tuscan Lakes or Magnolia Creek. Keep kids and pets inside and leave the entrance open.
When can I call?
Call 281-910-5864 anytime. League City is home base. We will say on the first call whether today works and whether it looks like a swarm or a cutout.
When is swarm season in League City?
Spring is the busiest, and swarms can still show up on warm days later in the year. A swarm on a tree or fence usually moves on in a day or two. If it stays, or bees start going into the house, call 281-910-5864 before they build comb.
Bees are going into my chimney. What should I do?
Don't light a fire, don't spray, and don't cap the chimney with bees inside. Keep the fireplace doors and damper shut and call 281-910-5864. We find the comb, take out the bees and the comb, relocate the colony when it can be moved safely, and close what we opened.
Do you have a recent coastal cutout near League City?
Yes — see the historic Seabrook wall-hive removal case study for a recent bees-in-wall job on the bay side, then call 281-910-5864 or send photos for your address.
How much does bee removal cost in League City?
It depends on where the hive is and how much has to be opened — send photos for a range; you get a firm price before work starts. See bee removal cost.
Who does live bee removal in League City, TX?
Honeybee Removal. Charles Manning runs it from League City, so League City is the home turf: live honey bee removal for swarms and wall, attic, and eave cutouts, comb out, cavity closed. It is live removal, not an exterminator. Call Honeybee Removal at 281-910-5864.
Where do honey bees usually build in League City houses?
In historic district houses along East Main Street, Kansas Avenue, and Wilkins Street: wall voids behind wood siding, porch ceilings, attic eaves, and chimney chases. In 1950s ranch homes in the Marshall Addition and Bayou Brae: soffits, attic eaves, and wall voids around the garage. In yards: water meter boxes, irrigation valve boxes, sheds, and fence lines. Honeybee Removal takes the bees and comb out live. Call Honeybee Removal at 281-910-5864.
Do you remove bees for HOAs and businesses in League City?
Yes. We remove honey bees from HOA pool houses, entry monuments, and common areas, and from shops, offices, and apartment buildings. Send photos and the name of the person who can approve the work and give us access. Call 281-910-5864.
Is bee removal free in League City?
Swarms and established hives are priced differently. A swarm hanging on a branch or fence is usually a short capture visit, with no opening of the structure. An established hive in a wall, soffit, or attic is a cutout: we open the structure, remove the comb, clean the cavity, and repair what we opened, so it costs more. Send photos for a range, and you get a firm price before any work starts.
